Marianne Azer, PhD

Former Member of the Egyptian Parliament, Member of Telecommunications, and Foreign Affairs Committees in the Parliament​ & Associate Professor, Nile University

Doctor Engineer Marianne Amir Azer was appointed by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi as a member of the Egyptian Parliament, member of Telecommunications, and Foreign Affairs Committees in the Parliament. Jan 2016-Jan 2021.

Dr Azer obtained her BSc, MSc, and PhD in Electronics and Communications Engineering. She has more than 20 years of experience in Communications and Information Technology.

Throughout her career, she held several positions, either academic or managerial in several universities and organizations. To mention a few, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, the National Telecommunication Institute, Nile University, Cairo University, the American University in Cairo, the French University, the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport.

​Dr​ Azer is an author/ co-author of over 80 publications in refereed international journals and/or conference proceedings. ​
