The Wichita Falls North Community Services committee develops a “plan of action” for the 2022-23 Rotary year.

The committee, co-chaired by Joe Clement and Mike Crocker, culled through the many project ideas that members of the Wichita Falls North Rotary Clubs can do with the resources they have. A lot of planning goes into these events. Timing must be established and coordinated with the organizations we are serving, committee chairs need to be appointed and resources must be confirmed and scheduled. We are going to have a very busy year.
This year's Community Service projects are:
  1. Texas Blood Institute - Club provides a cookout for a blood drive at SAFB.
  2. River Bend Nature - Club provides donated books and financial support so many in the community may get to enjoy an educational opportunity.
  3. Interfaith Ministries - Club provides support & volunteer time to assist as this Organization continues outreach to our community.
  4. SAFB - We continue to enjoy a close relationship with the 364TRS at Sheppard. We cook for student picnics and come together for our annual Christmas party.
  5. Food Bank - Financial support and donated time.
  6. WFISD - Dictionary project to several schools.
  7. Scotland Park Elementary - Club is PIE Partners with SP, and involved in supporting student and family needs. We help out both financially and as volunteers.
  8. Base Camp Lindsey - Club helps out through support for a Veterans Homeless Shelter here in Wichita Falls.
  9. ARC of Wichita County - This is a new project this year as we reach out to help and provide activities for Handicapped adults within our community.
We also will take on other projects this year as needs arise.
