Two bicycles were given away to 2 children with perfect attendance at Scotland Park Elementary School.
One of Rotary's areas of focus is Basic Education and Literacy.
Our goal is to strengthen the capacity of communities to support basic education and literacy, reduce gender disparity in education, and increase adult literacy. We support education for all children and literacy for children and adults.
To encourage academic success in school we encourage students to achieve perfect attandance.
In addition, Rotarians in Wichita Falls North engage in various projects in Scotland Park Elementary School, send high school students to the Rotary Youth Leadership Action program, give away school supplies, hold annual speech contests, and provide mentoring and leadership opportunities, and more.
