Last week was a special time for Wichita Falls Rotary Club as Wichita Falls Rotarians from all 3 clubs took a moment to honor long-time Rotarian, Jim Hughes.
Inducted into the Rotary Club of Wichita Falls in November of 1979 by Rotarian (and his father) Jim Hughes, Jim has had almost 45 years of perfect, weekly attendance. His influence has been great, and has paved an easy path for future Rotarians who follow in his footsteps.

Rotarian Benay Ayers, from Wichita Falls Rotary Club, led a ceremony describing many ways Jim has contributed to Rotary and his community, attributing all the success of this new, beautiful park we have built over the past couple of years to Jim's inspired legacy.

We were humbled to present to him the park bench he is sitting on, with a plate displaying Jim Hughes as a True Rotarian. We hope that as the years progress, and countless young children, parents, and citizens in general read that plaque they will ask, "Who is Jim Hughes?" We will continue to boast to the world that Jim is a friend, a faithful man, and he is a person who genuinely desired and succeeded in changing the world around him.
